New Inco Lightning Testnet on Base Sepolia

Back in March 2025, we launched Inco Lightning on Base Sepolia to give developers a way to build confidential applications. Alongside it, we released two testnet experiences—Comfy and Hangman—so users could get hands-on with onchain confidentiality that's secure, seamless, and fast. While it was live, this testnet processed 1,284,993,175 confidential computations.
Today, we're releasing an upgraded version of the Inco Lightning testnet on Base Sepolia. This version is more stable and introduces several new features for developers building confidential applications. Hangman and Comfy have also been moved to this new testnet.
What's New
The updated testnet includes:
- Attested compute – Verified computation with cryptographic attestation
- Attested decrypt – Secure decryption with proof of correct execution
- Attested reveal – Controlled data disclosure with attestation guarantees
- Voucher system – Acts as a session key, so re-encryption without triggering a MetaMask popup can be enabled
- New eaddress type – A dedicated type for encrypted addresses
- elist (beta) – Encrypted list functionality, now available for testing
Build With Us at Defy 26
We'll be at the Defy 26 hackathon on January 12th, encouraging builders to experiment with the new testnet. Join us.
